Your character designs were beautiful and I loved the details--they felt wonderfully authentic. Forgive me, but I didn't see much in your description about the project itself. Was it a graphic novel? I was also fascinated by a female interpretation of Cu-Chulainn. I've read several versions of the myth, but I'd never thought of that character as anything other than male. The strange thing is that it would work in regards to the curse of the Ulstermen, it could even be considered a bit ironic, given the origins of the curse... and it would be interesting to see how the changed dynamic would play out between Cu-Chulainn and Emer, or Fand...or the Morrigu for that matter. I guess I'm trying to say that if that graphic novel ever hit shelves, I'd be there with my wallet out.

Wwwwell, yes and no, the Fianna's armor is ssslightly advanced for the 9th century (the time this story takes place). the lord commander is a seventh son of the maccumhail clan, a prophet of both the distant future and the immediate present. Their armor was inspired by celtic helmets www.pinterest.com/pin/29991165… www.pinterest.com/pin/34579207… (which were later engineered into the Coolus helmet of the romans; so there's a shared bill*), norse helmets (hence the face grill), and the romans (who famously employed celtic mercenaries as legionaires). There's also some influence from asia, specially mongolia. 

I have so many things to say to that, but, tragically, I don't want to crap a text wall all over your profile page. That's just rude. I'll send you a note. 

 ...would you be willing to read some of the script? I need some serious feed back and you know and are passionate about celtic culture, much like myself; so I thought I'd ask. It's written in screenplay format, just to warn you. If you're busy or just not interested in reading someone's work on the internet, I completely understand. I just can't seem to find anybody who cares enough about the story to really give me any input. They want to watch the hell out of it, but nobody (as usual) wants to help me help them see it. 

 *Much of what passes for Roman weapons technology was back engineered from the celts.

Friendly and beautiful lady is seen your work and I feel very good, and although I am the least appropriate to comment person, I suck drawing and my education does not qualify me to comment on art, I am very fond of watching pictures and paintings done is something I love and want to tell you that you're very good at drawing, you have a magnificent realism and a great sense of composition but I think too much and that idealize the emotional burden decreases want your paintings are. Surrender to the realism if you draw a beautiful body, but do not forget their own scars of a hard life or signs of wrinkles over time. I had not been expecting me impolite dismissal

Amable y hermosa dama es observado tu trabajo y me parece muy bueno, y aunque soy la persona menos adecuada para opinar, soy muy malo dibujando y mi educación no me capacita para opinar sobre arte, soy muy aficionado a ver fotos y pinturas de hecho es algo que me encanta y quisiera decirte que eres muy buena dibujando, tienes un magnifico realismo y un gran sentido de la composición pero creo que idealizas demasiado y eso disminuye la carga emocional que quieres que tus pinturas tengan. Entrégate al realismo si dibuja un bello cuerpo pero no te olvides de las cicatrices propias de una vida dura ni de las arrugas señales del paso del tiempo.  Esperando no haber sido poco cortes me despido

As always, your thoughtful comments and critiques are so appreciated! I wish I'd thought of the kinds of scars and disfigurements these people would have had when I began my character development. You are right about 'surrender to the realism'--it's a goal I strive towards with every page. Hopefully I will continue to improve.
