AH, so it's gonna be a big ass bladed hoola hoop that can be thrown and come back like a boomerang. I liked the chakram weapon in Drakengard 3. It was basically a blade ring yo-yo on a tether that you swung around in big sweeping arcs and did helm splitters with. So I can seeing something similar happening.

It helps that despite not saying a thing, these giants clearly have more personality than 90% of all depicted titans. I love that sweat drop the giant king has when Griffith starts storming towards them.

As much as I know everyone wants to get back to the Casca resolution, I understand the need for a 'break' of subject matter and a reminder that yes, our third 'main character' is still out there making people think he's the messiah. I actually think this some nice further development as it shows that Griffith is pretty serious about stamping out ANY threat to his sovereignty, the residents of Qualeith(?) are a easy target and enemy that he can display to his people. It further builds on what we saw in the demon arena with Ogres being killed for sport. While the giants are pretty obviously some grim and inhuman fellows with have trolls of all things as servants, I think they are just a natural part of the more mystical side of nature as the fairies are. The more ugly and destructive side sure, but still an essential part of the world's spiritual character. I think merging the realms ultimately allows the God Hand to strike directly at the forces that restricted their influence to the realm of man. By doing this, Griffith is basically building a cover story to what I think is Phemto's ultimate goal: subjugation/destruction of all other magical and supernatural entities so that the God Hand not only determines the causality of man, but that of the entire world on both planes.

So I think Miura truly did just out Shingeki no Kyojin, AoT itself in that even the conspiracy and mystery at work beyond the giant humaniods is much, MUCH worse. That said, this feels like almost a subversion of that concept. The giant, human skin utilizing, craft armor and weapons from buildings, monstrous humaniods are being fucking DECIMATED by armed knights and their demon allies lead by Midlands equivalent of the antichrist. We aren't afraid of the giants, we're afraid FOR THEM despite their obvious grim and abject cruelty.

Saw the trailer and some reaction videos, this thing is pretty legit. Can't solo it though lol. It seems to be going off of a system a lot like the Ur-Dragon. In that multiple 'instances' across the server chip away at the same boss until it apparently get's forced out. Shame we can't kill it, I've heard some criticism about not being able to actually kill Zorah and now we haven another Elder that just refuses to die.

I'm watching Max's stream of the quest, she's pretty intense and active, especially in the later stages. You CAN solo it, but just like with the Jhens, you gotta be 'gud' and specially prepared to deal out enough damage to make up for three other people not being there lol.
