And again, always happy to help. Sorry for the lack of comments on your work but its sometimes hard to personify how awesome you are in a comment. But I guess think of it like this.

You see what no one wants to, and you express what people run away from. You take what is vile and make it beautiful. You take something inappropriate and make it charming. You make horrific monsters into our best imaginary friends. Whether it be abnormally large teeth, snake like tongues, or a face hidden inside of another your art is as beautiful as you are. Really happy to meet you and really look forward to seeing more of your work. Thanks!!

you are very welcome. sorry for not leaving a comment. Have a bad habit of impulse faving XD

But I really enjoy the way you composed the Purple Gal picture as well as other pictures in that vain. I love how the line structure looks smokey. This reminds me a lot of smoke and usually memories are associated with the subject of smoke. But not coloring this also adds another layer of intricacy to the picture in that like a memory a child will have strong associations with specific elements. The color purple is perceived as evil and therefore all other happy colors gray as that presence enters into the picture. How no color represents the noticeable detail of the dark eye that reconfirms that the color purple was there to hurt the innocent.

I'm sure there are other things i can talk about, but i need to look deeper into your work. I hope you enjoy that and look forward to more work

Oh I hardly ever get comments, so don't feel bad!

Also, thank you so much! I really really love it when I get to hear what people liked about the picture, lets me know what I did right. ^.^
I hardly ever use color in my stuff, and when I do I try to really make it pointedly important rather than just kind of a... here's some color, kind of thing. I'm not sure what words to use.
Thank you so much though, I did enjoy that and it makes me really happy, people underestimate how something like what you said can just really make an someone (well, it does for me at least) just feel so much better about what they made and wanna continue with more force and hone themselves.

Thank you!

YOU ARE VERY WELCOME XD!!!

Sorry if I just faved it and didn't say more about it. Kind of a bad habit =<. But as of now I have something to say XD!!!

What I love about the picture is obviously the use of color. The primary color is blue and into purple, very cool colors in relation to the warm and noticeable red of red riding hood. The way color is positioned is also interesting. There is yellow behind the trees representing the place of safety. To the right is a light purple, and also represents some sort of safety, probably the way to grandmas. But than you have dark blue that boarders on black where the wolf is. The location of an unknown threat and how close the red is to the wolf it also represents the idea of blood and malice to the victim and the perpetrator.

On an unrelated note, on our left is the the wolf who stares at the innocent Red after their conversation. Left has been known to be sinister according to the use of the word does mean left. But according to Red, the wolf is to her right. Meaning she turned away from the wolf. This leads to the themes of Red Riding Hood as its about not listening to strangers. She perceived the wolf as a friend and therefore turned it over with trust. The design of read is also interesting. Angular face and high cheek bones. This kind of relates to the fact that she is somewhat intimately connected to the wolf because her face is wolf like. There is also the thing with age, red becoming more of a sign of maturity as we have to see blood to mature. This comes from not only how our bodies form as we go from childhood to adulthood and how we never learn until someone is hurt. Red the color of danger and how it scares us.

This picture is very fascinating and I'm glad you put so much work into it. And glad to support you by faving X3

You are very welcome. I'm sorry if i didn't leave very many comments. But I would like to do more since from analyzing your work, even in a joke context or even in your own personal stand point you seem to really understand what you want to portray. Sure I only favored your Tron work, but that is enough for me to see that you really care about the characters and fandoms you portray.

That is a sign of a promising artist that deserve to be nurtured. For you must show respect to what you love before you create something new.

Anyway, a little preachy and I'm sorry about that. Its not my style to tell anyone what to do. But I'm glad I made you happy by faving what I faved

Its okay. I honestly was going to live a bunch of comments..................but you know how it is =<

I want to give an abridged version of my impression so hope it repays. What I love about you is that you have a clear understanding of what is true horror. Contrary to popular belief, horror isn't the addition of blood and death or people being angsty over really small problems. In its base form, horror is the human mind coping with the unfamiliar and the bizarre and being unsure with this thing that frightens us will hurt us. So with that explanation every narrative has horror in them. From the large fantasy epics to smile quiet struggles from one person, there is horror in everything. I do need to make it clear that horror is not the same as evil. Evil comes from the desire to control for personal gain, and even though they overlap they aren't the same. We see plenty of monsters that just drift through time just doing what they do while true evil does go out of its way to target something for some unknown reason that only it understands.

So how does this relate to your work. Well what got me involved in your work was your Five Nights at Freddy's pic. As far as I can tell its the closest thing to capturing the feeling of the game. I can imagine an adult thinking they are a work of genius when they were active, not realizing how frightening they are even before being decommissioned. But as I look through your work I see there are others I enjoy. Your design for Styx in 3D Design Final Project looked like I would imagine an feral underworld creature would look, with its hollow nasally breaths as it searches for underworld escapies as fur blended it with the blackest black making those white legs and that double faced head seemed unreal and disconnected. A true predator. We can see the same fascination with Handy and Alone, it is here that I see how much you are fascinated with the abnormal and the unsightly, this makes you very fascinating as most people would be too nervous to see such things. Hoping to rather see blood and gore because at least then they understand what they are seeing. Since you find them cute however, you are able to show the world these images so that we can either appreciate them for what they are, appreciate our own sense of beauty, or even just be aware of what is hiding or waiting for us.

Despite this you do have a soft side. Whoops, Squad B, Typical Dinner, and Patchy and Bopeep are signs of a softer side to your creativity. A Little silly and goofy to contrast with the total abstractness of your other pieces. But this is a good thing, as if we can readily see how bizarre your other world creatures are compared to the others it can give us a basis of understanding. But at the same time they aren't normal themselves. With a weird sense of humor and mannerisms that would bother even the most casual of viewer. Its okay though, they are like the monsters for reflecting the views of the artist. Embodying everything that makes your horrific mind so beautiful.

Hope you like this over view of your body of work. I have no real advice other than to keep up your abstract imagination and keep it a total contrast with what is considered normal. They have a voice and they want to be heard. And you gave a great gift to them by letting them be heard.

And thanks for the hug, don't worry it didn't break my back XD

You are very welcome. Sorry to have not responded sooner. But since you did I think it would be nice to talk about what you do.

The first thing it was nice to see you do something for a friend in the pic i did fave. Its really sweet and we all could keep love like that in mind X3

As for your own stuff you have seriously grown as an artist. The first is that anatomy has always been a strong talent of yours given what you did previously and compare to your work with Sai. The only thing that Sai did for you is add some more dimension in the shading and the perspective of design. Obviously it took a while for anatomy to get to where it deserves to be as with "Before and after" and "Riusha and Freya", but its nice to have some pride in something X3.

You also show you have a great sense of humor with "Oc Surprise" as you were able to make a smile something so obvious. But everyone loves bunnies tea cup sized and accessorized X3. But despite that it makes me interested. I'm sure its something OC related with another artist but seeing two characters i've never seen before interact like this was delightful

Posing is also getting better even when in a blank void. Super Sexy Galaxy (why its censored i don't know =/), "May and Lux", and "Brown Haired Bell" are good examples of overlap and portrayal of characters within the space. They are also properly color balanced and posed in a way that gives them some sort relationship to physical objects. They are also nice because they are giving us info without much detail. like why is the brown haired bell look so unsure? What did May and Lux do prior to cuddling, and why is super sexy galaxy look so prideful. These lead to people really wanting to take notice

The final thing has to be on your comic work. The "Crystal" before and afters are worth noting because i see a change of your hand making characters more elongated and elegant to have a romantic feel and in Crystal you drew a lot of emphasis. First by establishing the boy and girl in their own panels and framing them as the boarders of a together shot. We can tell its sort of a gypsy inspired setting given the attire and the furnishing you have provided. Basis for the narrative was also given as it begins with an argument and a stranger similar to the male onlooking in the background. So far it adds enough visual interest for me at least to ask what is going on.

Shika is also interesting as we have an innocent holding an hourglass. Given the choice of blue and the gold the way i see it is that its about innocence. Someone with a girls heart holding on to the one thing that makes her feel comfortable. The feeling that there is still time. Her optimism is admirable though as the hourglass looks half empty and we as the audience don't know if she understands that it can be flipped. Reseting time and therefore telling the angel that there is also time to fix things and do her best. I love the angel allegories you put in as well. The halo being a more fancy head dress and the dual necklaces and waist dressing which technically give her five halos. Pure from the top of her head to her more delicate areas. The hair contrasts well with the golden eyes that also shows that she sees beauty in everything. The sash is fascinating because if its a back boy it shows elegance, but if its a loose sash it gives the message that she is open and not restrained by rules and feelings. The wings are subtle, not sure if they will be the final version of them, but they look like cherub wings. Bringers of love and humility. Over all it adds up to an image of a really pure person and seeing how it turned out on Said shows your growth as an artist.

Anyway, i hope you found this handy and I look forward to more posts from you

Thanks so much! Woo! Lots to read and take in! I really dont know what else to say, Im not a person of many words. XD But great job on catching onto the things I added into the Shika drawing. Very much of it is accurate and plays a big role in the story she is a part of. Β

And thanks about complimenting my anatomy stuffs. After learning the really basic stuff, I tried super hard to make sure I always got proportions accurate. Although, sometimes it held me back, im learning to kinda get a better feel for it all. Perspective is hard, but very much worth figuring out.Β

And Im so glad youre excited for more! I do intend to keep at it until the day I die. Β

Its okies! ANd its no big deal, I said what I said becasue there isn't a lot of comments on your work and I wanted to give it some love. And honestly if it leads to a more personal and overall memorable story I'm happy to to examine and see what can be given to it.

And glad to know you are learning the way you are. I do honestly think art style alone isn't enough. But in a personal philosophical view, how we portray our art is our own personification of our inner most fears and loves. So technically there is no "bad art" just if you are able to show it the way it should. But I'm glad you aren't being held back and you are showing your imagination the way it was meant to be seen.

This is also another personal note, but death is none existent. You are your characters personified and for that you will live on because those that care want you too. To me that is the most beautiful of heaven as your world lives on and you and who you love can live there too <. So with that, i hope you never lose your happy.

You are very welcome X3!!!

Of coarse i'm a big fan of Freddy's. But honestly there are perks to your art passed that. If i have to title it, you have a sort of demented cuteness about your art and that helps build a wide variety of personalities to very dark looking characters from the playful, to the annoyed and to the hateful and maniacal. And the dark colors, despite being gloomy are surprisingly colorful as well thus adding more depth and visual variety to the characters and worlds you make. I'm honestly excited if you ever decide to do something original. I'm sure it will be a splendy treat for a niche market of dark and cute that began way back to the original gremlins and continued on in Freddy's and is mentioned in cult classics like Paranoia Agent.

You have my support and look forward to more of your work to review. Apologize if i didn't get to that already XD

DelilaRhettDevillier In reply to Sharkyfiend [2014-06-12 16:53:42 +0000 UTC]

oh its really okay X3, real life has been unkind to all of us at one point and even I have moments. Such as responding to this message.

But since you gave me a message you deserve a critique. I really enjoy your gallery and what is on it. Mostly because I love the idea of the joy factory. Things with a presence meant to just make you smile for no reason other than it can. This is really important i think since we are flooded in a world that values drama over anything and excluding all colors because they aren't brown and grim. And really if everything looks the same it shows the truth of apathy. That with how much they don't care it shows that we shouldn't care either. Again, not so with your characters that look instantly interesting and have a presence that makes me care.

Not like joy in of itself is enough. Your work looks professional and deserves to be center stage with a lot of the classics of old. Reminding me of the old comic strips of old using little but getting more emotional output but also the videogames of old for being smooth and just give off a personality with so little. And more important none of the characters look awkward doing it. They really want me to learn more and want me to see where the picture will go even if its a self contained drawing. Its just a joy to see things that show that you did your best to show a good depiction of what's in your head.

There are still things I need to research about your artistic style. But if I have to recommend something. Keep up your work and perception. Art is an external projection of all your joy, hate, sadness, and all things that make you who you are. Denying that and not being experimental with it will only make your work hollow and not worth the truth of your audience. So far nothing you made I have seen anywhere else and I believe its beautiful and entertaining. PreInvader Day Antics being a nice view of how even if you are a world conquerer you still don't pay attention in class because honestly just like homework you want to see the explosions and not do the homework. Something familiar and understandable while still being unique and interesting. And really, that is what everyone wants to see. A balance of the familiar and yet the absurd and unusual. Because if it came from your heart its not unusual and only for who wants to listen.

Anyway. I'm sorry for the delay myself. I hope you enjoyed this break down and hope it makes up for it. I look forward to more of what you do and hope you have a happy X3
