Do you know any decent art programs that I can use for my Chromebook?

Does the software I recommended you a while ago not work on your Chromebook?

JoshDaPika1991 In reply to Dinmo-1 [2019-12-29 00:50:22 +0000 UTC]

Then try "Sumo Paint" or "Sketchpad".

What you think of this Idea?
Using Thinner lines of brush for outlines instead of thick bulky lines?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Dinmo-1 In reply to JoshDaPika1991 [2019-10-22 01:29:45 +0000 UTC]

I think it depends on your style and what you want to draw.
Some drawings even require both, some parts in thinner lines and other parts in thicker lines.
Experiment, try different things. That's the best way to decide.
Try doing a few with thinner lines, a few with normal thickness and even a few with thicker lines.
And not just the thickness but also softness and shape.

Quick advice:
Try working with layers.
Have one layer (top) for the outline
and another separate layer (bottom) for coloring.
Because it looks like you're using the bucket tool and it doesn't do such a good job of covering everything in some places on this drawing and the dog one.

yes i have been using layers.
it helped a lot.

Thank you for helping me out on my Art.
It means a lot.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Dinmo-1 In reply to JoshDaPika1991 [2019-10-18 22:46:56 +0000 UTC]

That's cool, but maybe you should try some self teaching and learning from the internet.
There are a lot of guides and tutorials that can teach you more and better than me.
It's important to evolve as an artist and grow independently for real achievements.

Also, this is kinda spamming my DA homepage...

So instead of asking about every little thing, maybe try thinking about it on your own and every once in a while when you feel like you've made real progress or have something important then you can pop in a DM instead of a public comment.
How does that sound?

I'm trying my best to improve on my art
But all me and my mom can afford is MS Paint and on Paper

Dinmo-1 In reply to JoshDaPika1991 [2019-10-18 13:00:33 +0000 UTC]

Money shouldn't be a problem.
There are plenty of free art software out there.
Try Krita. It's free, it's for professionals and begginers and it has plenty of tutorials online.
You can download it for free from their official website here:

How do you like this?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Dinmo-1 In reply to JoshDaPika1991 [2019-10-18 09:22:43 +0000 UTC]

Not very much.
Why does Dynamaxed Mimikyu has an Eevee tail?
Also why is the cloud thingy around his ear? It makes it look like a spooky ring toss game.
ALSO is he supposed to have his face like that on his stomach? I don't think so.
A-L-S-O his tentacles look pretty half-assed.
AlSo are you using MS Paint for all of those? I think switching to Photoshop or learning some other more advanced drawing software will make your work look much better (with the use of brushes, effects, etc.) .
But on a more positive note, keep on creating!

JoshDaPika1991 In reply to Dinmo-1 [2019-10-18 09:52:47 +0000 UTC]

yes i am using ms paint
thanks for the critique
I'll try my best to improve.
his tail is supposed to be like a wooden stake
like what you use to kill vampires.
and i was frying to make him more cthulu like

Dinmo-1 In reply to JoshDaPika1991 [2019-10-18 12:23:32 +0000 UTC]

Good luck with that.
The tail and tentacles are a miss either way so maybe try to improve on that..
