Aww thank you And it's also fairly cheap in comparison to my pencil crayon experiments >.> (I always have to buy the top quality nonsense).

Eh, that's debatable. I can easily spend anywhere between $50-$100 on a print of my own work to sell, and digital is harder to sell for more money. I honestly think that if you plan on selling your work and making a living off of it, digital is just as expensive as any traditional medium.

Really? I haven't spent more than $30 for printing, nice quality and 26"x36" but I can see your point. I only do art as a hobby since I'm not allowed to sell it cause my parents are cool like that.

The reason it's so expensive is because it has to be archival if you want to sell only a few. You can mass-produce "cheap" prints easily, but those only work as temporary posters. If someone honestly wants to collect your work, you have to use archival materials, and those get really expensive, really fast. D:

Ohh I see, that makes sense. And yeah I only print my art as posters. Thanks for informing me, I'll have to take that into consideration if I ever get to that level.

My dad doesn't think people would buy it, or I would do it and get cheated or something. All like, "is it fair for someone to pay you for your work? Shouldn't you get better first?"

No problem. It's something to always consider. I've had long chats about it with a few of my professors, particularly because they're definitely the "fine arts" types.

That's rude. I know plenty of artists at many different skill levels that are able to sell their work. If someone likes your work and they have money, they'll buy it. Skill level is important, but for people who just want to see another artist's interpretation of their character, it doesn't always matter. Your father's concerns are always what I consider with myself, but at some point, you have to just give it a try anyway.

I know the concerns are valid since I go through them all the time in my head, even when doing art trades and requests. I'm thinking I might give commissions a try, I graduated tonight so I'm hoping I could call it a "grad gift" lol. Not sure anyone would go for it but hey if nor I can do requests for practice :3

Well I would hope so Glad to hear it from you though, really means a lot. I've been concentrating on sole digital these days, been so long since I've held a pencil for sketching.

I hate medication, I'm currently on several for clinical depression but have seen no significant improvement Sorry for the late reply though

no worries, I'm AWOL most of the time myself XD

And yeah, my other doctor took me off everything while the other one is trying to up the dosage and add more I'm being fought over by the M.D.s
