Hola man. Sorry for the late comment back, the hoildays have been super busy. As for the model, yeah I use Maya 7.0. I didn't really use anything special shader wise, just a softer lighter one that the default. The lights are the only thing I screwed with to get the look I think you're talking about.
Btw, awesome gallery man, I dig the work!

İm not going to mumble about what is obvious. Your gallery is not perfect because you have bunch of images. But you got the style mate. Which, is a rare thing that not everybody posses.

Alright mate, wicked to see ur up for helping out us newbies!! A bit of both would be awesome if youd be up for it? like a spawn sketch from conception to black and white, and then with colour. I'm actually an architecture student and was browsing around looking for some unique presentation techniques, but after seein some of the stuff on here and polykarbon i've become fascinated with comic style art. I've even bought corel painter and a graphic tablet just so i can get stuck in! i absolutely LOVE ur sketchy style which is why i'm so keen to see how u make it look so damn sexy!
