Thanks for the gallery attack. as for polaroid looking effects its not too terribly hard. If you have CS then start by pushing up the vibrance and lowering the saturation. Then i usually find if you clamp the top and bottom of the exposure it helps and then tweak the gamma using curves. mostly the effect is really high contrast high vibrance with a reduced saturation. Also you usually want to push the oranges and reds up a bit since i always found polaroids warm. but then again i haven't shot with them in a LONG time. but playing with those settings should get you close pretty quick and you can save them as a preset if you are using lightroom! Yay piracy. if your not into stealing you can produce similar effects by playing with the gamma and exposure and suturation curve in UFraw as long as you have a semi standard camera and are willing to shoot raw.
