It's good to start right away while you still have the motivation because trust me it fades quickly
I was updating like 3 pages a day when I first started off, then once a week, then I took a long break because school was way more overwhelming than I thought it would be, and now I'm doing updates once a week again because summer is great and I have nothing else to do.

comics are also a good way to improve your art skills

Yeah. I'm noticing how much effort I am putting in drawing the same character repeatedly and from different angles.  I will hopefully have the first comic finished sometime soon. Though I will definitely need to work on my page layouts.
