I'm a bit tired of RPing in English. Not to mention that it's hard to RP with such a huge difference in time zones. So... I'm not planning to return to RPing anytime soon.
I want to focus on drawing instead and improve my sklls.

Ah fair enough to you. I have those moments as well but I still enjoy doing them.
So what you drawing lately?

Bimbos, living inflatables, inflation and expansion. Mostly into the desk, but soon I'll post something. Right now I'm redrawing "Yoga Balls". I really hate how it turned out first time.

So, English is your native language. British English even. So... listen, since we're talking, there are a few Russian books that I like a lot, that were translated into English. And... if you like reading, I'd like to recommend them to you. Because, you see, I really want to hear foreigner's opinion about at least one of them.

I have them as .fb2 so I can sent you any of them that sounds interesting.
First of all is "Gray House" by Mariam Petrosyan. "Magical slice-of-life" as people call it, it's about special school for handicapped children and about their own world they created inside of it.
Second is "Doomed City" by Strugatsky bros. When it comes to them, everyone knows only "Roadside Picnic", while it's far not the most interesting and important of their books.
Third is "Monday Starts on Saturday", humorous book about research institute of magic. Also by Strugatsky. Sort of "Harry Potter in Soviet Union". Recently, awesome translation by Andrew Bromfield came out. He also worked on the "Doomed City".
And last but not least, "White Guard" by Mikhail Bulgakov. It's a serious book about Civil War in Russia and what happened in Ukraine during that time. The book is based on Bulgakov memories, on members of his family and his friends.

HyperWills In reply to Paitent115 [2020-03-28 13:58:02 +0000 UTC]
You see, "Gray House" is very popular in Russia, especially among youth. There's even an entire group dedicated to this book, here on the DA:Β www.deviantart.com/the-house-tβ¦
And "Doomed City" is one of the most popular Strugatsky's books. Well... popular among their fans, at least...
So, these books are known in Russia, but not abroad. So, I'm really curious to hear foreigner's opinion about them. And I'm really looking forward to your feedback.

Thanks for the llamaΒ
I knew a llama once. At least I thought I knew him. I mean, how well can anyone really know anyone, much less a llama. With their air of mystery and thinly veiled contempt. Itβs hard. But I digress.
His name was Kevin. But for reasons I will never understand, he would only ever answer to Albert. Identity issues aside, things started out okay. The usual introductory sniffing and sneezing went well, despite his allergies, but then things started going downhill during the ritual licking phase of the pleasantries. We pushed through. And had it not been for the spitting, we might have even been able to make it work, but alas, after just 3 seconds of bittersweet brotherhood, we finally decided to part ways. Itβs kind of sad, when you think about it. Spitting seems like such an innocent thing to fight over, but he was pretty adamant that I should stop and that was just never going to happen. We might have overcome that issue, but Kevin, like all llamas, was very competitive. First came the stench competitions. Then it was belching contests. And lastly, a painstaking count to see which one was hairier. You can clearly see why our relationship was doomed. The poor fellow was a bit of a sore loser.
So he snuck out, taking with him a failed friendship, an obliviously optimistic dread of the future, and my sixth favorite toothbrush. Now that he is gone, I can honestly say, it's for the best. He was too much of a chick magnet anyway and who needs that poultry drama?Β
Β
Full disclaimer, as Kevinβs official biographer, a position of which he blackmailed me into (donβt ask), Iβve been instructed to inform you about his ongoing series. The journey starts here with The Kevin Chronicles - Chapter 1, andΒ this galleryΒ contains the rest. You should check it out.Β

And don't worry, they're pretty short.
No pressure though, only if you want.

Thank you! But, unfortunately, no.
Two reasons:
1. I highly dependant on reference pictures and tracing. If I won't be able to find proper refs, I can't do anything, since my own skills are still extremely low.
2. I draw on extremely rare occasion, so most likely you'll have to wait for ages for your picture.
Although, you can tell me your idea. Can't promise you anything at all, but... What if inspiration will strike me all of a sudden?
