Hey, of course.
But I actually have a question for you. What do you draw your inspiration from? I live in Canada so, as another seed of that question, I'm curious if it also has anything to do with where you reside. Or do you draw it from other matters? Your work has a particular flare that I find very attractive. (I hope you don't mind me saying that.)
I look forward to seeing more! Thanks for joining DA :3

Hmm, well I live in Ireland, and there's lots of folklore, medieval architecture and designs around and I definitely draw inspiration from those, because I love that kind of stuff, but I also draw inspiration from just about anything that interests me. But it's almost sub-conscious, things just rub off on me. I'll usually get inspiration from the things I'm into aswell, games, books, artist I admire and such.
I'm quite literally addicted to creating characters and I've gotten to a point where I can just doodle and something good comes out(not to sound arrogant or anything ), but I also get inspired by day to day things; for example, just yesterday I passed a woman on the way home from school who was wearing a black dress and gold sashes and I was like 'That would be a cool design to use'.
So it can come from practically anywhere, all you need to be is observant .
Whoa, didn't mean to ramble, I'm not sure if most of that made sense . The problem is, I sketch most of my ideas, but my scanner is a hunk of junk and doesn't scan them very clearly, so people will never see a vast majority of my best designs .
Glad you like my stuff though , I'm hoping I'll get to post some more stuff soon.

That's very inspiring in itself! Drawing inspiration from your surroundings among other things is really awesome. Do you draw landscape as well? I saw in one of your pieces that there were some nature additions and I really liked the squirrel. Both realistic and cute, which made it very appropriate.
A black dress and gold sashes, really? That's so creative! I keep having to remind myself that the Canadian wardrobe is different than that of other countries. It's really neat though! But you go to a college? I wonder how different the school system are between here and in Ireland? Sorry if I'm being at all nosy, I don't mean to be.
Aww, yeah I know what you mean about scanners; they seem to devour the quality of ones art like it's candy. Although, your art still seems to carry the emotional element with it! So never fear! But I'd love to see what the scanner eats, I'll... imagine it. XD
I can't wait! And don't worry about rambling, I'm glad you did! XD I like listening to others perspectives, so feel free to ramble anytime.
Thanks again!

Yup, I love drawing nature, it's where I draw most of my inspiration actually . I especially love to draw trees , I've been told I'm good at it...but actually I just doodled that squirrel, I didn't get any reference.
The woman with the dress was actually African, so not usual Irish attire, but I guess that's a benefit with cultural diversity .
In college they teach you lots of techniques, like how to draw things with as little line mileage as possible. That's one of the most important techniques on my course because it's an animation course which requires you to draw quick yet precise.
Anyway, I'm actually really really busy with schoolwork at the moment, so I don't know when I'll be posting my next pic .

Awesome! +___+ And no reference eh? Odd point of view, but do you ever notice that the really good stuff comes when you're not really trying and are just drawing for the sake of drawing? I find that when I write. (I'm an English major) If I try too focus too hard on one aspect it seems to end up drained of its energy and rather plain. But if I write for the simple sake of just writing I end up with bountiful verses. XD It might be just me... But Nature alone is something I often go to in order to draw inspiration. I have fond memories of going to a relatives cottage and sitting at a random point surrounded by trees! It's so silent, well, until the chipmunks come, then I end up sitting there covered in about four or five of them. They are so cute! (Sorry I rambled OTL)
Diversity is awesome! I love multiculturalism, it broadens the horizon so effectively. Your schooling (I could be wrong) sounds much like the one here. At Sheridan College the animation program is quite intense and they focus highly on being on their toes about precision and ability. Do you also have life drawing, painting (gouache, water colour and a wee bit of acrylic), anatomy class, etc?
No worries and no rush about posting anything immediately, do it when you can. Schools important! :3 And I know how busy it can get! So many things and so little time! *wavers around* XD Hehe.

My best stuff ALWAYS comes when I don't try ! My favourite drawings are my sketches and doodles .
It's because I'm having fun with ideas and not because I'm trying to create a pretty picture, yeah.
And like I said before, nature is my biggest source of inspiration aswell . A lot of my designs look very natural.
We have life drawing, it's really helpful. I had painting classes last year, but this year we don't do as much. But I wish we did because it's one of my goals in life to become a great watercolour painter, but I don't really have the time to use them .

Awesome! So I'm not alone, bwahaha... Okay so another odd question (no obligation to respond only if it interests you) Do you go places to draw; say the shopping district, park, waterfront, etc? I live by a lake... not much compared to a vast spread of water (Always wanted to see the ocean and sea... one day!) But the sound of the waves I find to be the best for both encouragement and inspiration. So I go there to just putter around in my journal. How about you?
Nice. Aww, yeah painting has to be fun. But watercolour's intense! Beautiful but intense! Hopefully you'll get more time for it; since it's a medium you can travel with too! Maybe on summer break? XD Paint like you've never painted before! ?

I don't usually go out to draw for two reasons;
a) I have no time, and b) there's not much places like that around where I live .
Wait, you haven't seen the ocean? I love the ocean! So vast and filled with the opportunity for adventure .
I'm hoping to practice them on my midterm .

That makes plenty of sense! Free time is so hard to come by. Plus here it's -30 or something outside and snowed up to my knees or higher so it's not too fun going out to be inspired..
Not yet XD;; I've always wanted to see the ocean! +___+ In my family's heritage there was a sea captain and I've always wanted to know how it was for him and why the heck they'd move to a place so far from water... XD But I'll see it one day! Adventure! XD
Sweet! XD
