I'm lvl 7 mastery on him but I haven't played him much since the assassin update because every single one of them are cancer to play against as him feelsbadman :C

He's all about map awareness and pressure. 
so many times i see people play him vs lane bullies and wonder why they get destroyed in lane its sad :c
Also, learning to cs with his passive is important.

I heard a while back they are going to do a mini rework on him. Like, change one ability or something. IMO counterplay is nice but they put too much in his kit. if someone is on you and your ult isn't up you literally have no damage response. Also, when trying to land a stun you tend to put your face where your face isn't wanted. I recon he should get a shield that scales with number of people stunned or scale the stun time with star size. Landing the big cross-map entire-screen-sized stuns is just too unreliable and unrewarding.
