It looks like a bunny version of Cloud Strife from Final Fantasy VII, so of course I couldn't pass it up. I can't think how to integrate him (her?) into my own creative writing . . . maybe a partially transfigured fighter - some prince who was cursed into rabbit form and the heroes weren't successful in turning him back into a human.

It's an interesting little snubfighter, almost like the common progenitor of the X-Wing and TIE Fighter. Not limited to a Star Wars setting, it could come from any number of SF settings - like Battlestar Galactica or an original story.

Yea, I'm in love with the Odyssey-class. It's a massive ship, but with the escort module and saucer separation there's plenty of space for lower-deck characters to shine.

Those modules are cool, just wish you could activate both at the same time.

Yea, you have to use your imagination on that point. Still, I can see Lieutenant Commander being given charge of the escort module, allowing the more junior officers to get a feel for command. The Odyssey-class is also large enough to have a squadron or two of fighters, so there's all kinds of side stories that could be going on outside of the Command Staff. The character I have in mind was an Ensign on an Intrepid-class that went missing in the Gamma Quadrant. Five years later he's found flying a Delta Flyer-type shuttle, the Albatross, with 83 members of the crew in pattern buffers back in the cargo bay.
Wearing an over-sized jumpsuit to cover the multiple layers he's wearing (the shuttle is kept cold to help support the pattern buffers), his hair is unkempt and he's grown an epic beard. Over the course of his adventures he's also lost his left eye (which he covers with a bandage to prevent infection), and his right hand (forcing him to be a south-paw). For the past five years his only companion has been an EMH that can only communicate to him by voice as the DF-type doesn't have holographic emitters, so he's also lost a bit of his sanity.
After being rescued he provides all his logs, which prove to be invaluable to the Admiral on board the rescue ship, and passes all the test for promotion (he's had five years to study, after all), so he's promoted a couple of times.
