Thank you for the +fav +fav +fav +fav +fav +fav +fav of my Nature's Fire watercolour. I did that for a great photographer here on dA, as she was kind enough to allow me to use another of her photos as a reference for a painting for a friend of mine. This painting was my gift to her, and something I was very happy to do. :-) (Smile)

I'm sure you made the photograher happy with it You're like me - I am so grateful too, when a photographer allows me to make a drawing of one of his/her photos

Yes there was something very positive going on with this painting. The photographer was very happy and since she is one of the nicest people ever, it was truly a pleasure for me to paint that for her. Nod Nod Nod Nod Nod Nod Nod We are similar in this quality for sure "I am so grateful too, when a photographer allows me to make a drawing of one of his/her photos", and I am pleased to say I have met many great people here on dA this way. :D (Big Grin)

Actually, it's a long story which goes back to my childhood. I used to watch National Geographic a lot, and there was an episode of the old Untamed Africa series about two cheetahs (the title of the episode was The Brother of Talek), which always made me cry. They were brothers and stayed together after leaving their mother. One day, one of the cheetahs named Liaram got seriously injured and his brother stayed next to him while he was dying. Then he mourned his dead brother for days before leaving him behind.The last sentence of the episode was something like that: "Liaram puts his head down slowly and says goodbye to life", which deeply imprinted in my mind.
