I've had a 5 year art-block and since coming back on dA, looking through your gallery has really inspired me to introduce more markers into my work. I love your approach to traditional drawing. And your Bleach fanart is so epic and badass!

5 year art block?? That's pretty massive
I'm gonna be honest, I rarely get art blocks.. if any, because I plan art my drawings and their concepts in the form of an album. Like how a music album has 10-12 tracks, imagine the same thing but with drawings, and I usually stick to a certain theme for an art album. It's a fun and creative way for me to keep on making work, and it's worked for me for 8 years straight already

I blame it on a year in Animation prep school (which ended up teaching me I wasn't an Animator) and 4 years in University Graphic Design. Sucks all the inspiration out of me. Thankfully, I'm settled now in a comfy job and I can draw at my leisure.
Yes, yes! I notice that when I look at your gallery. I think it's pretty neat that you have your work organized as such. Don't see something like that very often.
I've always felt that there's this extra bit of character added in when you use pencils vs a tablet... I'm just happy to have found someone who shares my love for Bleach and traditional art.Β

Here lemme tell you a secret, well, not a secret cause it's now here on public lmao (it's okay haha), but when I was in middle school, I used to be in an art school with a great art program. To be completely sincere with you, I hated it. When I was growing up as a kid I adored drawing all the time, but when I got into those special programs and school, they started to suck the life and fun out of everything I wanted to draw. They demanded a lot from me and most of it was stuff that didn't come from the heart and I had no interest in making.. long story short, I stopped drawing completely and left the school for it. I just went to a normal high school and did my thing. During my sophomore year, I started rewatching or better said, catching up to Bleach hehe, and I loved Ichigo's character design so much that I had developed an urge to draw him. Well so I did.. over and over, and it seemed fun, I was drawing stuff I wanted to actually draw with no pressure on my shoulders. To this day, I'm still painting and I'm at my best ever, I've learned a lot and gotten much better throughout the years practically on my own, but I was able to do that because I took my own path, and it was the best thing I could of done honestly. Now I don't only draw Bleach or know how to draw anime, I can do whatever I want being it realistic or cartoony, but doing what I enjoyed rejuvenated my desire and passion to draw.
I love the traditional field and the digital too, which I'll do will really depend on my mood and what I feel like working on. I find traditional more fun though cause it's quicker and I feel like I can experiment a lot more with it.Β
