About the picture taking thing (from the Purdue group); you need plenty of light (as redewe mentioned), but you have to make sure there isn't any glare from the angle you're gonna take the piccy from (usually shooting from overhead is good; and make sure you don't use a flash). Also, setting the focus on the camera to the desired range instead of using auto-focus is a good idea.

For the picture-taking thing, you just need lighting (either through a desk lamp or a huge lamp) and lots of it to take a good digital picture. i can help if you want.

Interesting, when my daughter first went to school she discovered there was a girl in her class who had exactly the same first name, second name and initials. Madeleine Rose M.... They started off cool, but now they are great friends and even at home they both now have nicknames to avoid confusion.
