The art tumblr is updated (very) slightly less often, and the pixeljoint tends to only be stuff I'm notably proud of (no singular tiles, for instance).

Eyyy, thank ya very much! And thank ya for the watch/favorites yourself, especially that purple hillside one, I was actually feeling a bit bleh about it, though I've since come around on it!
And yeah, I've really been liking the low color count/one color palette thing lately, it's sort've becoming a comfort thing for me I think.
Annnd while I'm here I'll just say I really like your colors/patterning, balloon sticks out in-particular, love that sorta almost like, patterned banding? It looks really cool! I've always enjoyed sorta smaller patterns, symbols, that sorta thing.

no worries buddy! that purple hillside one is really neat, putting things in the background with pixels or in general is fascinating to me, as silly as it sounds.
yeah dude, the one colour palette seems really comfy, could be fun to start up little patterning/dithering if youre ever curious. the balloon one was a fun whim, honestly i just picked out a colour palette and had a blast making up tiny patterns. time consuming, but worth it <3

I get the feeling I'm kind've in the minority in that I enjoy doing background stuff over characters, etc, I'm glad to see you're enjoying that!
I never would've even thought to like, pattern a balloon, it worked out great! I've been meaning to try out dithering etc more, but at smaller resolutions it gets pretty hard to do well, I'll have to keep it in mind for the larger stuff I do, I do like the effect it creates!

aay that makes you pretty unique, i see a few other kids out there focusing their little pixels on background work, the product is oddly comforting.
ha thank you, i know how you feel, just gotta find something flat to apply those patterns to, my mistake was simply that balloons are not flat and it looks odd, haha, but ah well, the main attraction works out. i think those tiny dithering patterns would looks really lovely on water or the sky which could be a good start if youre thinking about trying!

Doing it on the sky for some stuff sounds great, might have to give that a shot soon-ish! And I kinda liked the flatness on the balloon patterns, but I can see where you're coming from too, all about what you're trying to convey!
