Hey, Paco. I see you've been very busy. Just letting you know, I'm right behind you. I'll be up at UTA really soon. To be honest, I've been wasting my time this year (sort of). I guess I was kind of in limbo for a while, after finding out that I'm red/green color blind and all... but I realized that I've been a coward all year long, and that it's time to go at it! I might be too late for this Fall semester, but I'm getting the paperwork done ASAP. You might be graduating soon, but I sure hope to see you in the Fine Arts building soon!

Exactly the same. The teaching thing remains second choice, but only college. High Schools are a joke for art. You got any ideas for grad school? Ive been looking around, and having trouble narrowing it down.

Man, about grad school. I'm going to apply to the top 8, if i don't get in, ill prolly cut off my ear. Jk, I would love to go to Yale. I visited the campus, it's amazing. Look into the schools teachers, see if you like their work, the schools philosophies, etc.

Yeah, Yale would be amazing. Did you get a special invitation to the campus or did you go on your own accord? Yeah, definitely picking a school with a similar philosophy as yours is important. How long do you have before you get your undergrad degree?

Yeah, man. And start getting your work out there. Any shows you can enter around your town, do them. School will only be a small part of your future. Once you get out, you wont have anyone telling you what to do. So, make YOUR art the BEST you possibly can. A school wont make you, you will.

I totally agree. Ive been participating in group shows and helped start up and run a gallery in town. For a lot of people who get out of school, they just stop doing art because nobody is watching over them. I do it for me, and go to school because that's the most logical way to have a financial plan that makes me happy. Have you been showing locally?

awesome. just keep yourself connected in the scene and things can start happening. I actually just got word today that I may get a solo show in October in a gallery that participates in a monthly gallery walk. I'm hoping this pans out for me. Do you have any advice to give on personal web site hosting? Ive looked into several hosts, but nothing has really stood out yet.
