I'd suggest you to upgrade to Mountain Lion and try this installer: [link] (if you want black text for the translucent menu bar or silver/grey one)
or this installer: [link] (if you want to have a black menu bar with white text)

When you only want to change your font I'd suggest you to select only the font option at the prompt that asks you what to install.

Again: This is only for ML and currently I don't have a plan how it works on Lion. I guess a google search would be your best bet.

You mean the start page? :) (Smile) Thats simple. Just download the zip, unzip it, put the folder somewhere on your harddrive and open the "home.htm" in your browser. After that set the default homepage to this home.htm via the settings of your browser.
