# About me

Ayumi C. Sakashita was spat into the world from the Krakatoan volcanic
eruption of 1883. Her first earthly sensations were an oppressive
heat, a black smog, and the addictive rush of upward movement. She
swam into the Sunda Strait to cleanse herself and spent the following
three years of her life shedding the hardened lava from her skin by
rolling around in the driveway gravel of Shaolin Temple. Though she
freed herself there from the pebbles of black magma that used to cling
to her skin, she also acquired a strange radioactivity that burns in
her heart, which scientists speculate may be the only source of light
or warmth in an otherwise desolate wasteland. She despises all
earth-killing beings with a passion, rooted deeply in her many
heart-to-heart talks (sometimes accompanied by non-alcoholic,
mango-flavored carbonated drinks) with the beloved Greek god Gaia. She
aspires to be all things Gaia, including Gaia the Dark Knight as
depicted in Yu-Gi-Oh. Hail Gaia. Gotta catch ‘em all.
