Pardon me for not introducing myself properly. My name is T.J., and I am working on a degree in wildlife and forest conservation at Mississippi State University. I am interested in how conservation is done in the UK and the attitudes of the public towards wildlife and natural resources there.

You're degree sounds rather interesting! How far into it are you? (first year, second year etc). I can say the same about the states! We cover some aspects of conservation in America, but we have many of our own species that need protecting over here

In my 3rd year. I hope to graduate next May. I work for the university as wildlife/forestry research tech. My degree is a BS in Forestry, emphasis in urban forests. Naturally we get an education in the N. American conservation model, but very little is mentioned about how other countries to manage natural resources.
Its been a wild experience, to be true.

I am very into it. Conservation and ecology are my main passions.
It's what I live for and how I make my living. Its tough to be a aan ecologist/naturalist in the states with the current religious and political climate. Gotta run to a field lab. I will hit on the urban wildlife issues later. That is going to be aa lenghty dicussion
