Yeah, I spent a total of probably 1 hour 15 mins in the convention center itself... total madhouse. It's funny, I had a similar conversation about what you said, how Sat, followed by Friday, are the "busy" days... but now, every day is just as busy as the other, Weds included. Did you make it out to the actual Gaslamp area? That was nuts itself. It was like a block party. I do like how the city has finally embraced the con spilling into the Gaslamp, and all/most parties have finally realized how to utilize the surrounding area (including Petco Park where there was a Walking Dead obstacle course thing). I read a blog the other day (which was nice to read, because it's how I felt), talking about how these guys traveled from Arizona without con passes, and still had a great time just being in the surrounding areas- more than enough to see as many companies took over storefronts, bars, restaurants, etc. I actually spent Saturday at a restaurant/patio bar around the outskirts where unbeknownst to me there was a "mini" con put together by some Pixar guys- Tr!x2ter I think it's called. I predict offshoots like that will gain momentum over the years and the con will just completely (more than it does now) encompass downtown San Diego.
