(My current display image was drawn by 16121 on deviantART, who is an amazing artist =). She has granted me permission to continue using her Marceline fan art <3.)Hi ^-^. My name is Wisp (not my real one, though), and thanks for stopping by and checking out my profile ;).
I'm still learning how to become better at photo-manipulation, but I'm also trying to pick up some other skills for my dream career. I've got tutorials on Sony Vegas Pro, Dreamweaver, CSS and HTML (which I already know a bit of), JavaScript, and JQuery lined up. Please don't hesitate to leave some encouragement for me (I probably need a lot of it).

A girl carefully stared at her computer screen, her eyes narrowed behind a pair of goggles as she attempted to decipher what the message was telling her.
"Wisp-Night has added you to their deviantWATCH" Taking notice of the word watch being in all capital letters, a wash of paranoia flooded her senses. Quickly looking around with a scope of the living room, nothing was out of place. The dog sleeping peacefully on the couch behind her, TV playing some obscure cartoon for adults, the fish looking around just as her, and the lights turned off to not disturb the neighbors. Giving off a scoff towards herself she readjusted her headphones and attempted to turn her attention back to the story she had in the next tab, and the music playing without a care.Β

Sure (you'll probs be waiting a while, though; the permissions for the actual image need to be given from their Japanese owner, so I'm trying to find a translator to smooth that up a bit

From what I can tell, mentions are automatically put on and will show up under "Feedback". I haven't tried to see if you can really turn it off/on, but I've heard other deviants talking about that, so probably ~ .

it's not a drawing the artist just cut it out from another picture but it's okay to use as long a credit her back for the render

... No. I need to have the permission of the original artist to be able to edit it. And I would never credit the person who rendered it if they didn't receive this permission themselves and gave credits to the artist.Β

So what many people us renders and i never see them ask permission from other artists to cut them out. What's the big deal it's just a picture

The big deal is the person who actually drew that =/. It may seem like, with all these images out there, it's alright to use whatever you want to, but there's a person who made that image. It's extremely insulting to them to see their works taken, rendered, and edited. With most of these other artists, they don't even provide a link to the artist's page. Instead, they credit the person who rendered.
The one who spent hours drawing gets ripped off while someone who cut their image gets the acknowledgement. That's my problem. If someone took my edits, erased my signatures, and claimed it is as their work or just posted it without saying it belonged to me, I would definitely be pissed, hurt, and insulted.
