I like to say: Old isn't bad ^^. I'd like to watch Hakushon Daimaou (I don't know the English name; just the Japanese and German one ^^°); good old child memories

yes I also like the classics, but well there are too many new ones and i did juz began watching anime in 2005...

Curse you, human curiosity -.- Maybe you know it: You heard so much about it and there is a pro and con between the watchers and you think: Well, give it a try and to make a personal preview... How bad could it be? And in the end, you see one of the sickest things in your life 
And maybe the newer animes have better storyline... But many of them have a cheap story line. I think about all the "child" merchandise animes like Yu-Gi-Oh...

well, I did review it but no am not gonna watch it, I think I know the entire story of it already--- that's pretty much the same as to every ecchi anime---
like:
watch ep01 of this certain anime---then jump to the final episode and you'd still understand the entire story as if you won't even miss an important part of the plot. it happens in every ecchi anime ya know, coz their plots are too predictable, it has the certain pattern, and it's ridiculously watching.-_-
have you tried watching TO LOVE RU? or maybe MABURAHO? watch ep1 or maybe ep01 to 03, then go to the final eps--- you'd still get what the story of those anime are all about.^^
like you said, it's a cheap storyline.
yugioh's okay, after some episodes to it...the season 4 to 5 of it are cool and worth watching.^^

It's like Pokemon XD If you watch one episode, you know 99% of all episode without missing anything. Unfortunaly, there will never be a final episode
You mean Yu-Gi-Oh with this Pharao-thing? I don't know. If you watch the Japanese version, maybe it was ok. I prefer the manga version (with Kaiba with green hair); it was more about the games of darkness than the card-thing... Sadly, the cards got more important and getting wierd. World saving with cards? What the...? And in the US-censored version... *sigh*
Also, have you ever watch the follower Yu-Gi-Ohs? I mean... Card games on motorbikes? Can't wait for Solitaire in a car or Go Fish on the bicyle ^^.
Anyway, I watched Yu-Gi-Oh because of the battles; it was the only great thing in it. The characters are between bland and f***ing-annoying. I hate useless characters. And why does every one loves Kaiba? Are arrogant people the new sexy? And the story... Nice try but not even close to reach great storylines like OP. Even Digimon (Japanese/early german episodes) had a better than this. But, at least, it was much better than many other animes for kids... Like Pokemon...
