haha, same here. (I'm ashamed to say I /still/ haven't read the novel. Friend of mine was supposed to get it for my birthday... a month ago.) Harry Potter was the last fandom I was really into but not as much as Watchmen. I think just because I feel like I've really contributed to it more and got a hell of a lot more out of it.

I'm just super. super. super slow... I saw a few copies in the university bookstore today. But um. Yeah... Funds have to come back up a little before that purchase can be made. I'm just a terrible fan. I preordered the movie though! But... amazon.com fails epically and will be getting it to be around August 3rd... X_x wah.

haha well I have my hands on it now. Friend of mine bought it for me in the dealers room at otakon this weekend although I'm afraid to touch it yet since I have so much school work to catch up on. I like this copy since it's not the newest (I guess?) It has a picture of the watchmen on the cover. That snapshot with blake kneeling.

I've been trying to friend everyone from watchdom or elevator_shaft who has an account on devart because for the most part, everyone draws pretty damn well and I'm insanely jealous. Pencils and markers melt in my hands therefore I can only communicate with a keyboard.

Oh don't I know. ff.net gets obnoxious sometimes with the sheer amount of horrible unedited writing on there.
And that's very true. Sometimes I think people are too afraid to delve into characters' pasts for fear of like, screwing up.
