Do you shoot your subjects in HDR? Or do you use special lighting? I'd love to know.

Nop, i don't shoot for HDR post-processing. i mostly light them this way (most of the time strobs or reflectors) I try to have as more details as possible on camera (so it give a more flat RAW shot) them, boots it in photoshop. This way i dont destroyed that much my pixels.... i often shoot on camera lock: one shot for the background empty, them i shoot the model with a reflector in the frame, so i can just take the bg shot to cover the reflector. Help me to get an interresting light (who can see it on the shot Junk.food3 [link] if you click on the before verstion in the commentary) It also alowed me to choose the right expression for each models (as in the serie "Delire Ringard". After in post-prod its usally curves, saturation and some dodge and burning on empty layer on soft.light... i might made a little tutorial to show someday...
but like in the "Contraction" serie, it was mostly light! one strob with blue gelatine for the bg, 2 strip-softbox for the back light and one beauty-dish right in front, just ahead the camera.... all at the hightest power to be at f.22 or something...
