I saw your "Save the Rhino" pendant on your facebook page. Great idea! I don't know if you knew about the Rights for Rhinos website, but I actually went rhino tracking with one of the rangers that took part in that walk across the country for rhino rights. He is such an awesome person. Didn't know if that event is what inspired your pendant.
I've been thinking for a long time now about making a range of wild dog jewellery that would donate to an organization. I've just got to wade through my list of jewellery before I can get to it. O_o

The thing that pushed me over the edge to do something was a rhino called ABSA who suffered dying for 6 days! This inspired me to organize a walk here in George and become more involved in this as a project. Now I started the pendants which seem to be taking off very well so far!

Yes, I heard a similar story... I can't remember the Rhino's name. It was "Naughty" in Xhosa I think. A young male that also had a ghastly long death with most of his face mangled by rhino horn poachers. It is such a terrible act of greed and violence. Like the ranger said "If we can't protect something as big as a rhino, what chance do we have for the smaller and more overlooked creatures?"
I'm frantic with exhibition work at the moment and am hoping to have some Wild Dog jewellery for Design Indaba. If I'm going to be doing that next year... I'm keen but intimidated (first timer)!

Just normal coin? we have a ten cent coin that is about 10mm diameter. We also have a tenth of an ounce kruger rand coin?
The smallest that I have seen is a half cent that I still remeber from my days as a kid?

Someone recommended that I scan a coin when I scan stones, so I figured I'll scan a euro, pence, cent, and the 10mm coin sounds about the same size
