Hey man! Yeah I'm in Dallas and things are looking up. I have a great job working as a web / application developer and still do some personal stuff when the time is available.

I had hoped to get into a 3D house, but honestly I really want to go to Animation Mentors first or through a really good course and then work in from there. We'll see how things go in the next couple years. As for now, things are really good and pretty stable for the most part and I'm happy with where I'm at.

How have you been? It's been a while. You get back into 3D or doing other stuff?

LOL, I did mention the HDRI. Just would like to see more of the model before giving a good critique. Just not really enough there to crit and the image is kind of dark so I can't see the model that well. Well.... you asked for it! LOL, later man.

Thanks for the advice, when I have time I will go back and re-light some of my old scenes so I can see the difference and the progress I've made. Im still surprised as to just how much difference lighting can make!

Thanks again

creation22design [2007-07-21 10:05:30 +0000 UTC]

Thanks for your comments. I appreciate the advice. Lighting is something I really need to study some more, I've only been working in 3D for about 9 months and have focused on modelling/animation for the most part. Lighting/Rendering is something I am trying to improve on right now.

I'm using Cinema 4D, Release 10 for Mac. I got the Studio bundle so it includes all the modules (hair/advanced render etc).

Thanks again for the comments

lol, it's all good. You do much better at rigging than I do. I haven't really had time to model or learn more about rigging. I hope next week will change for that.

LOL just pratice at it with every character i model is a chance to pratice, it was a pain in the ass but it got easier

bluesdog In reply to DemonMonkey666 [2006-11-11 18:18:19 +0000 UTC]

I hear ya. I know it's really not that bad to rig something and then parent the skin to the rig. Just trying to cover one thing at a time and right now it's getting a nice character model done without the use of Poser, Daz and so on. I know once I get it how I want it i'm going to be playing quite a bit. LOL

Yeah it's really nice. I miss not having the hair and cloth simulator, but it's not like it can't be done. Just a little more work involved. Been playing with the Intuos3 though and getting used to it. Amazing the difference on using the airbrush with the sensitivity settings. Good stuff.

Wow you've got some awsome stuff!
Do you use 3dsMax to create those images?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

bluesdog In reply to kerokura [2006-03-14 22:16:07 +0000 UTC]

The majority of the new images were done in 3DS Max 7, the landscapes were done in terragen, the anime girl was done in DAZ and imported into Cinema4D and the older stuff was done in Blender3D. Just depends on what image you're talking about.
