Hey, Corey.Β How do you go about Un-Zipping zipped programs?Β Do you use 7-Zip?Β If so, what protocol do you use?Β (i.e. extract, extract here, extract to . . ., etc.)Β I have done this before, though not often enough.Β
I recently used extract here.Β Now I have a program sitting in my downloads folder, instead of where it should be - wherever that is supposed to be.Β Can you give me some pointers on protocol?
BTW- I googled it, so I have some ideas of what to expect.Β I know better than to just ask without laying a foundation by researching.Β Hehe.Β

I use 7-zip, it'll do 7z along with rar
programs don't actually have to go anywhere. If it didn't come with a installer and you can run it you can put it wherever. I think the programs folder in vista and up has some usage limits but I'm not an expert. I have programs in my download folder because I'm lazy. If it doesn't have an installer you can remove it it by just deleting it also.

Hello Corey.Β I found a program this week that you might be interested in, if you don't already know about it.Β It's called CARAPACE.Β It's for creating perspective grids to put an image in perspective.Β I blogged about it this week's journal.Β the link for it is there.Β
There are a few other digital resources I listed, too.Β You're probably way ahead of me on them, as on CARAPACE, but if not, another program you might be interested in is LAZYNEZUMI, a PS line stabilization plug-in.Β I think it would be useful for digital inking.

I have a artist acquaintance who uses LAZYNEZUMI because she has shaky hands because of a medical condition.
Manga Studio has that sort of thing built in but in a less configurable/complex way. Its made for inking so you are right.
