You have to be a Premium Member to do that.
You copy and paste the thumbnail of the stamp, located to the right of the deviation, into your journal.

but I've seen non premium members using stamps through photobucket. There has to be a trick.

Well first of course one has to be a member, as the gentleman below puts it, then all one has to do is type
:thumb [thumb number] :
with out spaces of course. The thumb number is a number found on the stamp's deviation page, found witht he various links to twitter and facebook. For instance, on my deviation here , one would type in one's journal, comment, favourites, etc, :thumb169634109:, in order to make the deviation appear

It would be because you're only a member of the site, instead of a subscriber or a Beta Tester. You need to pay a monthly fee in order to get privileges like that

you can make stamps with ANY program that produces art ^^ paint can still look good, even if it doesnt have a layer option, but photoshop and SAI are most preferred for most people!

look to the menu at right. there should be a number you can copy/paste labeled 'Thumb'
copy and paste that number to wherever you want to put it on! just make sure you get the whole thing
