How's your summer been?

katsunakii In reply to RainbeauxSkulls [2009-09-20 21:53:01 +0000 UTC]
very complicated and has left me in an extremely bad way. (if those terms are even sufficient)
how about you?

Busy and nerve-wracking.
But that's putting a negative spin on it.
Um.
Hm.
I've got a better description!
Just dandy minus everything.

you're very optimistic; it is admirable

RainbeauxSkulls In reply to katsunakii [2009-09-24 04:03:54 +0000 UTC]
I'm always optimistic! I refuse to be one of those people who plays Woe Is Me* and kvetches. They piss me off and I don't want to piss myself off...
I don't think there's any reason to waste time being depressed. Unless you want people to look down at you or space themselves from you because you whine constantly and are a drain. In which case, those people can do what they want and be all angsty and depressed (makes them so... uh... "cool" )... I'll just be ten miles away walking on rainbows.
But since Linds got out of the hospital she's been doing very well and it looks like she won't need surgery, so I'm a happy camper, even if I wasted precious weeks being her nurse.
And I have a break from school until exam time and course switchover, so I can catch up on missed sleep.
And stuff.
So I'm totally fucking happy.
Even with all the bullshite being thrown my way.
How have things been for you exactly? (Can't remember if I asked before >< )
You in school again?

katsunakii In reply to RainbeauxSkulls [2009-09-25 22:10:31 +0000 UTC]
I can agree with you about the depression thing, granted that it is the people who do choose to be that way and not actual clinical depression (which I think can be overwhelming and possibly beyond their control).
It's good to hear things are looking up! Odd that you get a break just before exam time, that always made me question the education system; wouldn't it be better for the exams to be right after the end of class/courses so students can puke their knowledge and do quite well, and THEN let them go for break/vacation and forget everything they just learned?
exactly can be a tricky thing to take a stab at.
i suppose things in general and overall have been quite bad recently.. but to take a page from your book and dive at being optimistic... they really can't get any worse! (pretty sure i reached the bottom of that already). That means things have to get better right? Or they could stay the same. But the thing of this world is constant motion uhhh which scientific principle was that again?.... so things will improve somehow.
yes'm.
back in school for 8 months then i'm out to wreak havoc.

Clinical depression? Been there, done that, got the t-shirt, wasted part of my life, didn't think was "overwhelming or beyond my control" either. It's always in the person's control, they're just giving up too easily to fight it. And yes, I think that of my older self. No buts about it, I was a whiny little shite (not that I whined, but still, whiny little shite works just fine!)
No, you misunderstand. I'm choosing to have a break before my exam. It's my choice, not my school's. . . I've never been to a school with a break before exams, there has always been classes right up to exams . . . Maybe your schools were different? (Even HHSS had classes right up to exams . . . <_< )
Sorry to disillusion you but things can ALWAYS get worse. The bright side is that things aren't as bad as they can get.
Unless your entire family died, all your friends died, you failed all your classes, wasted all your money, were expelled, lost your home, all your earthly possessions destroyed, you've come down with an incurable terminal illness, have lost complete control of your body and mind, and--wait, there's still worse than that!
There is ALWAYS worse. There is no such thing as rock bottom. So your bright side should be: "Things aren't that bad." Unless all that (and more!) has happened. Which I doubt. Because I'm a friend of yours, and I'm certainly still kicking! XD Not, "Things can't get any worse!"
Unless you want to be one of those, "Oh no I failed a class / got knocked up too young / got grounded / broke up with my girlfriend (or boyfriend?) / didn't get the raise I wanted / lost my job by not working hard enough! End of the world!" types. And really, they're laughable, aren't they? You want a laugh, find someone like this and giggle to yourself. I do it often! Silly teenagers! (Or people our age who have not grown up yet! )
(I don't know what happened with you, but whatever it is I'm sure you'll pull through! Might take time, depending on what it is, but the bounce back will be better than Woe Is Me hours. And afterwards, you can just laugh yourself silly over those times anyways! )
Why would you want to wreak havoc? That's an awful thing to do! You should be out creating mischief in eight months! Mischief is better than havoc! (Havoc just reminds me of that one song . . . ) 8D

I had typed more but opted to delete it. Laughability is actually part of the problem, I find.

I support interesting lives!
I have an exam in May. My exams always come around when I finish a course, and I just finished a maths course... but I love exams.
Yeah?
I have a lot of pictures I've been avoiding... like those ones with your characters in them. And all the other pictures I have to do. I'm lazy. I blame physics!
It's Coke Zero with emphasis on the deliciousness (that's right, my life is... delicious... ... I should have used a different word for that one). (:
I'm a lot less sore, and I can walk (oh, and I can emoticon-dance, too, that's pretty awesome )
Do you have AIM, MSN, YIM or anything? We should talk more than just on dA.

ahhh exams! eeeep! wow serious? you LIKE exams? you crazy fool!
procrastination is the only way to go some days ahahah
that's wicked you're able to walk again! (must be all that coke zero, neh?)
Indeeeeed! It's hard to stay in touch sometimes, I know. (damn the introverts of the world! At least.. they can be introverted together without being more awkward than necessary?) Annnnyhow, I'm up for that. I maintain a MSN account at the insistance of my classmates (damn peer pressure too ) it's pretty easy to guess; this nick at hotmail.
I've been getting a bit behind on stuff in general (hello 500 deviations), no worries if you don't hear from me for long periods! Best wishes~

I know, I'm weird like that ._. but exams and tests have always been fun.
Some days? Every day is a good day for procrastination! Unless it involves something interesting, like a video game, in which case procrastination can be procrastinated until later on!
It has to be the Coke Zero! After all, none of the other stuff worked. But Coke Zero? It's like a liquid miracle drug!
I'm introverted. Not as badly as I was before, 'cause now I actually do stuff... like go up to cashiers and buy my own stuff instead of forcing someone to do it for me.
I don't mind using MSN, since I've used it for many, many years (um... almost ten o_O). I was forced to get a Facebook though. That was annoying. I support deactivating accounts constantly.
O.O 500 deviations? I think ten is too many to go through. Which is probably why I don't add many people to my watch list... I'm too lazy to look through ten, let alone more than ten.

hey! that's wicked! now you'll be more outgoooooing
wow that's a lot of MSN. facebook! eeep! run away run away..
heh, but but but! don't you find looking at pretty arts inspiring? well sometimes.. i guess it can be a pain because then it becomes a chore to look through all of them.
*throws you a coke zero through the interwebz* now we just need to get you out and about mingling neh?

Unfortunately for everyone around me.
My 'outgoing' behaviour is weird.
It is
And Facebook is just annoying. But... it's a tiny smidgen better than MySpace. Ew MySpace. DX
Looking at art can be inspiring, but it can also be a bad thing because then I look at it and don't create it myself.
Coke Zero.
Ha, ha, yeah.
