yeah, that's true! I just mean you sorta have to combine various aspects more, picking out different facial features and lighting etc. and adding more detail if your original reference is more semi-realistic/cartoon-based than if you were looking at a single photograph and translating it into another artistic medium if that makes sense :v

Yes that's hard actually.. I always do my lighting source on the right up corner haha. Also in this photoshop helps a lot because when i mess up something, I can quickly fix it. Anyway maybe I went to realistic style, because I was in art school for four yers and every teacher was fixed about realism there. Anyway I started drawing and painting again when I graduated, because they just made me hate art hahah xD
