You can create (or download) application-icons with text instead a a picture. Apply them via Candybar or by hand in the info-panel of each application (I recommend candybar). Google candybar to see how it works. If you have problems, just ask.

I'm pleased you liked my icons. Thank you very much.
To the reflection-problem:
The slotted coins icons don't have a reflection so I think you are refering to the "stand alone" version (or "coins mirror"). I'm sorry to say that there is no simple shortcut or command (I could find), I did them all by hand. But it's really not complicated. If you are using my psd-files, you already have the refected "coin", so all you have to do is add the right, reflected text. Make a copy of the text-layer with your new application's name (right-click on the layer -> dublicate layer), then flip the new text-layer around (Edit -> Transform -> Flip Vertical). Move the text that's now standing "on its head" down to where you want to have the reflection. Then reduce the layer's opacity to 15% (Layer -> Layer Style -> Blending options).
If you're not using Photoshop, you'd have to figure out how to do it with the application you use. Or you could give me a list with the apps you need and I can make them for you. But you'd have to be specific as to which coin-version you want (maybe a link to the download-page).

Thanks a lot for replying and yeah I was referring to the "coins mirror" and I have managed to create some more icons after following your instructions. Im not really an expert with PS but I can work my way around after reading the necessary tutorial.

I noticed that you also have created "Slotted Coins" [link] and I absolutely love these as well, esp the reflective ones. Could you tell me the name of the font which you used so that I can make more icons for my own personal use?

Thanks for replying. I thought it was Federation too as with your other coin icons but I somehow couldnt remove the font. But I was able to do so with the others. Just to be clear, Im referring to this icon [link]

This is very strange. Could you try and see if it works on your PS or would you be kind enough and send me a blank icon/PSD of the above? Cos I really like it a lot.

Now to the screen shot ... here it is. I must admit I got carried away with the reflecting style and it's opacity but Im quite happy with them. Maybe I'll modify them again someday. Note that Ive changed the font as well and included a blank icon for my clock in the middle of the dock.

Well, I had little spare time these last weeks so I used a program called "Picturesque" to do the mirror effect for me. And it works beautifully. Only you can't change anthing with the processed psd-file. I tried to make a psd that looks like the one from picturesque, but it's not identical. See for yourself: [link] -> fire.psd. Maybe you can use it anyway.
I really like your dock and the clock is a very cool idea!
