The only arpgs I've tried are the 's one and the (which is currently on hiatus)
Getting into an arpg is a bit hard, you either have to wait for applications to open or buy adoptables. But if you join a smaller/newer group its probably going to have unlimited open applications.
Here are the groups I know/are more popular:
-Β You get 2 free wyngrew when you join -Β The group isnt taking new members until June. (That's pretty soon!)
Β Tokotas: (A lot of people I follow play this one) You can either buy a tokota or get a free one by going on a waitlist. They have a newbie resources jounal:

First of all, what are these things?
Tokotas are giant mammals similar to bear-dog hybrids. They're rideable and come in lots of different shapes and colors. They can be used for in-game events like activities, breeding, and shows, or kept as a personal OC, or both!
Please note that tokotas are NOT free to create; you must purchase, win, breed, or be gifted one in-game.
Our number one priority is to make Tokotas as inclusive as possible, as well as being fun for all members! There are ZERO activity rules, ZERO reference rules, and ZERO reclaim rules and everyone
Β You get 2 free characters. -Β will be open to new members onΒ May 31st - June 7th.
Of course I recommend because that's the one I play. But to get a pouflon you have to either buy an adoptable pouflon by tyronniesaur or you can do trades with people that no longer want their pouflons. You can look the trading section here:Β pouflons.deviantart.com/gallerβ¦
The ones I suggested are all animal/creature oriented but I know human arpgs exist if that's what you're into! And If you are in a fandom you can look for arpgs of it. I know there are many Warrior cats arpgs, for example : ) Β
