hey, thanks for the comments. Yeah the portrait photos are actually photos of photos, which is why they're all a little bit out of focus. But yeah, I really like playing around with DOF. I'm really impressed by your images! nice one.

a czemu skoro lubie Rancida mialabym nie lubic the Distillers?? Co to jedno drugiemu przeszkadza? i czemu mamy sie od razu nie lubic?

Podobno to że Brody rzuciła Tima i po jakimś czasie pojawiła się u boku Josha totalnie podzieliło fanów Rancid i Distillers oraz wielu bandów z nimi skojarzonych. Ale jak dla mnie to takie typowo płytkie amerykańskie podejście do sprawy. W każdym razie jak dla mnie Brody zrobiła dobrze.

Well... thanks! But you see... the problem is that people are symbol-minded. Sure, George Carlin once said - "Leave the symbols to the symbol-minded." But the symbol-minded are a vast majority. And try to explain to anyone, ANYONE in Europe that sfastika, Adolf Hitler, NSDAP etc etc are NOT evil? You will fail. 99,999999% of time you will fail. The cuts are so deep and so fresh, that actually using those symbols is just without any sense whatsoever
Ok, maybe Catholic Church killed more people than German soldiers during WW2, but WW2 took about 5 years and Crusades and Inquisition took centuries. The same with Russia and Stalin - he killed so many. And he's considered evil too. Pure evil. Tribal wars in Africa, native killings in early USA, etc etc... Everywhere people die, but the freshest and cruelest and best documented is the WW2. We here know EVERYTHING about it. We are taught it in schools. Actually we are taught about WW2 far more than the Germans or Russians are. More than Jews and many times more than Americans.
And using symbols and names is bad, but as bad is using the image of Hitler and speaking of him as a good person. I don't claim it is 100% wrong. But the image is 100% wrong. So why use it? And anyway, i find that choosing any single person as a leader and prophet is utterly nonsensual. Human mind works this way that when you receive power, when you're a leader, bad things come to your mind. And why is Hitler connected so much to evil? Because even if (which is very doubtful) he was unaware of all the hell that German soldiers were causing other nations in the world, robbing, killing, raping and multilating the innocent people, he is connected to those crimes so strongly, that it is insane for those modern national socialists to actually try to mention his name as an example, or describe themselves as followers of him. And you see, if the christians from Israel, in the name of Jesus and under the symbol of Cross, killed millions of some other nation, Jesus would have blood and evil imprinted on him, wouldn't he? But nothing like that ever happened. So that's why Jesus is good and Hitler is evil. Anyway, try to come to the concentration camps, try to learn some history, listen to what the witnesses have to say (there are hundreds of thousands still alive) and you will agree - if you want to say something good, you cannot use the symbols and words that are stained with blood of the innocent. If you are not a racist and you don't hate anyone but want to love all mankind, then you cannot use symbols and words that are directly connected to racial hate and the mass racial murders.
So drop sfastikas, because it is the image that means 'death' in Europe. I don't say that the Cross is a great thing either, they're both symbols. As Bill Hicks once said - "You think when Jesus comes back he ever wants to see a freakin Cross?".
