Sorry if this is long.. But this is what I know
about points and getting points.
Points is the currency of DeviantART besides US Dollars.
There are a few ways to get your points. I get most of mines
from commissioning with other deviants. Sometimes deviants
just feel generous so they will offer you points if you have
your points box open. Another way is to click on your llama
at the top right of your page (or anyone's) and scroll to the
bottom of the page. At the right side, there is a small
section that will show deviants who are willing to trade some
points for a llama. Most of the time they offer only one
point but thats okay. You will sometimes stumble upon
someone who will offer more. With these, you have to act fast.
The easiest way to get points is to actually spend real
money to get points. You can achieve this by going to the
top of the page and hover over shop, which is right next to
submit. Just click on the part that says points with the
points icon and it will take you to the page to buy.
But letting you know, it's not really worth to buy the
points with your actual money as the points are worth
way less than a cent (I'm serious about this!)
On deviantART, there are a few very generous people that
will create accounts that will do nothing but give
you points. You can go to these accounts and ask for
points. They sometimes hold events to getting points
as well. Most of them will give you the most of 5-10 points
but that's because they have a lot of others requesting
for points as well as the events they are holding. There
are also groups that are all about points and will hold
events to give out points to all group members. Sometimes,
group members will hold contest events and state that
they will give out points.
