No I did not study under him, I wanted to go to his school pretty bad, but could never afford it, and was already too late into the school I was at. I did learn SO much from his youtube channel and gnomen dvds. Advice would be use those gnomen dvds, and all the various youtube channels, fengs is the best, but there are a lot of good ones out there. apart from that draw your butt off and take learning the fundamentals very seriously, digital tricks and such are easy to pick up, but perspective lighting anatomy color theory etc are very hard. I don't think anyone has broken in without practically killing themselves trying. And really try to enjoy it don't look at it as work. hope this helps at all best of luck to you! and thanks again for the kind words
