Infinity Ward, you broke my heart :<I usually don't draw fanarts, but this character deserves special treatment (dat accent!). Here's John "Soap" MacTavish from CoD:MW.
Took me around 3 hours and 4 cups of coffee, I used some screenshots form the game as a refs.

For me what saddened me the most was Vladimir Makarov's death.
Despite his actions, Makarov is really not as evil as everyone says he is. He hated the U.S. for abruptly ending his career with the Spetznaz, and knows how hypocritical they are with policing worldly affairs in an unnecessary manner. After all he mentions that in MW3's opening.
Vladimir's ultimate goal was to defeat the U.S. & its allies, restore the Russian Empire as the #1 superpower, & become it's new Tsar. He's actually an anti-hero who uses extreme actions against his enemies if necessary.
If Makarov won WW3, he would have been a great Tsar better than the U.S. government, because he will never becone like them because ygeir hypocrisy & interfering is why he hates them in the first place.
If I were in the MW universe, I would love to serve him.

U got english version of CoD? Lucky you. I've got retard russian version. Worst translations ever and obligatory in russia. All the game atmosphere can be ruined by their voice acting. Can only download english versions from some trackers

Wow, wonderfull details, but soo softly drawn. His facial expression is so alike to his apperance in MW3. And I like the black and white shapes and how the light is set.

Same over here on the scale of heart break. But this is an absolutely beautiful picture, there's a certain softness to the way he was painted-- except you've got this contrast with his facial expression, it's not exactly grim, but he can tell what's coming isn't pretty. : (
