*points to the 2004 decorating the image and submission*
I like the manga personally. The anime changed a lot, they cut everyone's character development except for Rosette and Chrno. Satella and Azmaria were cut to nothing but tag along characters. Not to mention there was BADLY-placed fanservice. Fanservice is nice, but when its just put in for no good reason, it's rather like: "WTF; why's she naked here???"

LOL. Are you telling me the manga is much better? Because I really liked the manga's ending, so I went to go watch it and like... D= Chrno + Rosette died on a bench and im like WTFZ.
But Chrono died in both of them, right? o;
And I was at an anime convention, and this lady said that the anime is sometimes different from the manga because they dont wait for the rest of the manga to come out. So if they liked it at like book 3, they just took the concept and went on with it. x_x Its lame, I know.

Yes I am. Generally the original story is better, but it's hard to say anymore (I like the Ouran High School Host Club anime, and not all anime is based on manga and vice versa).
Yeah, WTF Chrno and Rosette died on a BENCH. Together. I think that was... a cop-out.
Chrno may or may not be dead in the manga. I don't think it was ever said. He was just 'missing', and hinted to be alive because there were mysterious flowers left on Rosette's grave.
In the case of Hiromu Arakawa (Fullmetal Alchemist), she specifically asked for the anime to be different, so they took the idea and went with it. Otherwise, it becomes a waiting game, which is why Naruto, Bleach and Yu-Gi-Oh is so full of filler episodes to wait for the manga plot to continue. In the case of Inu-Yasha, they just gave up animating it altogether.

True, True.
In the Chrno anime, I think they should have died more.. dramatically.
One thing that I was kind of not sure about was, Chrno dies when Rosette dies, right?
Wouldn't Chrono be dead after Rosette died? Rosette died so Chrono should too. x_x
I really loved Chrno ;-;
And in your opinion, since im making a manga myself, do you think it'd be more worth it to make like a short, 20-book manga or like Inuyasha where it goes on and on? x_x
Id love to hear your opinions <3

XD; Dramatic death is popular among people for some reason. Nobody watches the news for a peaceful passing.
In the manga, Chrno is only taking Rosette's life-energy for his own because he was injured and would have died anyway if he fought Joshua without the contract. So it only kills Rosette. You don't see Chrno dying from the contract with Mary Magdalene. He may live, he may not, we don't know.
Depends on your level of dedication and commitment. I personally have a story that I want to finish no matter how long it may take. Other people prefer shorter stories, which are far easier to do and keep track of. It took me a couple short mangas first before I could really get going on the story I wanted to write. I think the practice of just writing short manga helps to write a really long one. Test yourself first.

Achiru, do you have MSN or Yahoo messenger? n.n Id like to add you. If you do, add me please n.n

But anyways, this is true. Im glad Chrno didnt die <3 I really love him. Im just not quite sure why he died with Rosette on the bench.. o_x He wasnt in his true form or anything.
Sorry if Im asking too many questions. xD I /kind/ of rushed through the manga.
But its like, I didnt start a manga because I wanted to. Well... my thought process wasnt.. 'I want to make a manga' then '-thinks plot-'. I had a plot and story that I wanted to tell via manga. n.n I want it to be popular and long, I just dont want it to ruin the story, how a long manga did to Bleach. [Well, I guess all the fillers ruined bleach Dx]
<3 I still await your reply,
Tragedy.

Ha ha.. sorry, I don't have any messenger anymore. Nor did I really ever use it when I had it. I guess I'm not much of a messaging person.
Yes, Chrno is a really sweet guy.
My thought process was 'Manga has taught me a lot' and 'as thanks, I want to draw manga that will teach people like it has for me' and the plot just came on its own time.
Believe me, the manga I'm working on now, it's been almost five years since I started the idea, and I rewrote it almost twenty times. So just go with the flow, and keep your dream alive, and work towards it whenever you can (just thinking about accomplishing it works too! It makes you giddy, to think about how to get to your dream!)

If you dont mind Achiru, how old are you? And forgive me if im wrong, but I assume youre a guy?
And the same for me. I've been rewriting my story a while, Something like 2~3 years. But Im lost. Im trying to put sequence of events in order, but then I dont know what to do after that. x_x Help!?

Lmao. I'm a girl.
At least, I think I am. Sometimes I'm not sure because I'm not really girly or anything (kind of like Haruhi from Ouran High School Host Club). More on the nerdy side. I think nerd can be classified as a new gender. A friend of mine agrees with me.
Yeah, seeing your work animated on the big screen definitely sets off the tingles.
I'll be turning 20 in a couple months. But I'm still a teen right now! XD
Ha ha! I had the same problem! What I did was write a couple short manga on existing stories (fairytales and Shakespeare, LOL) to get my technique of panelling and comic-writing at a good foundation, then I had to make up my mind to start the story and STICK WITH IT NO MATTER WHAT.
Because the story WILL change as you go on. No doubt about that. (I learned that after starting over almost seventeen times, and then I thought: If I keep starting over, I'll never finish!) IT WILL CHANGE. And you just have to let it write itself, one bit at a time, one step after the other, and reach all your plot points.
I don't know if that advice is of any help. But yes, keep your mind to it. Realize that the first may not be your best work (my old stuff is so laughable and hard to read), that the longer your story is the more crappy the beginning will seem (I do have the urge to redraw the first couple of pages, but then I won't have time to continue, and continuing is more important to me), however it will pay off in the long run. (At least I believe it is so! The end will be such a great satisfying accomplishment!)

But anyways, I've rewritten my manga once because my friend requested it. [Shes the other half of my manga] So I did, and Im pretty glad I did. New ideas, etc. Everything fits together, too. I think this is the one im sticking with. <3

Well, she had a story she wanted in manga format, so I did the drawing. And I also did all the editing and half the plot suggestions (her English was not good; why do I always work with people that have bad English? It's happened three times already...). XD;; Personally, unless you work well with other people and are close with them, don't do collab.
I tend to like to hog everything from the drawing to the writing and cover design. It just creates more work for myself, and not to mention it's hard to keep in touch with someone when they're not dedicated (drawing and writing is both on and off; sometimes I procrastinate, and then she does, back and forth).
Anyway, I just find it hard to collab manga-wise, but art-and-illustration-wise I'm okay.
Take your time! I was fourteen trying to come up with a fan-comic (which utterly failed) and didn't get to having an actual running online comic until fifteen or sixteen when I drew Macbeth for an English project (277 pages, took me two years, I only handed in Act One XD). Then RAVEN finally happened two years ago (and I'm almost catching up! 266 pages!).

The scripting is never done. You write whatever comes to mind as you go along. You can use the script or change it when you finally get to the drawing part. But after you draw it, that is that.
