I just started learning Shotokan Karate, so its on the brain right now, so to speak. This is a posture from Heian Shodan, the very first kata (the third from the last position, to be exact). Probably the wrong style for this fighter, but oh well.Related content

Yeah although you drew him doing Shotokan, this technique is still used in Chon-ji Taekwondo (traditional style). It's just called a knifehand guarding block

Definitely wrong style (he uses Tae Kwon Do), but the image looks great ^^! nice work!
Also if I may ask, is there a technical term for the blue pencil? >.o *feels idiotic*

Thanks. I use Sanford Turquoise Non-Photo Blue leads in a lead holder. Doesn't actually erase very well, which is why a lot of people prefer the Col-erase blue pencils, but I can't imagine using a wood pencil anymore (more time sharpening than drawing).
Or did you mean, is there a term for those lines? Construction lines or under-drawing, I guess.

steadtler makes regular ones you can sharpen, and through blue line you can order mechanical refills.
