Can't make a print of The Brooch because it contained files from two programs, so the render time was really long. Too long for a print. Not sure about Winter Blossoms. It was a colab, so if I did, I'd have to get permission from Fuelman.

Oh, thanks, but I wasn't referring to the tut, but the rendering instead. It was murder the way it rendered. Kept kicking out and took about 10 times as long. I need to go and check why it was so unfriendly before I throw that burden at anyone.

it's a crazy diamond from planet xerolia.
I think there should be some more contrast on the white part, it just looks too equally white.

I really like the way that you contrast simplicity with complexity, it works really well. I am not sure that I see it as a piece of jewelry, but I may be just haveing a temporay lack of imagination. some of the details seem to faded, and washed out, I tend to like a little more clarity and contrast, really nice job overall though, as always.

Thanks, Spencer. First time importing apophysis into UF, so I'm still working out the bugs. I might try some more experiments. Not really sure because it is really murder on the render times and very limited in what it can do, so I've seen so far. Time will tell.

The main part of the image was Ultra Fractal [link] . It's one of a very small amount of pay fractal programs, but after using it, I'm convinced it's worth more than the $60 or so. It has layering capabilities like photoshop, thousands of formulas to mix, mapping abilities to take the image and place it on preset patterns like orbs, egg shapes, and water effects, plus transparency options for each layers color pattern. The most layers I've heard of being used was an image that had over 430. It was loaded with details and textures. It's called Ultra Fractal because it is ultra in it's capabilities.

Thanks. Not sure if apo and UF work well together, but I'm happy with this one. Need to do a lot more experiments with it.

Very interesting.
I think it's really cool. Yeah, I agree, silver jewelry is worthy of a second glance.

For an experiment, this turned out pretty damned good. I like your continuation of the blues and silvers.
