These are the photos I took for my "Distressed" project... basically they're all taken from down by the river at my town, so they're all close up photographs of rust or whatever on boats, the bridge, graffiti... Yeah, its not that pretty an area but i think the photos are in their way kinda beautiful.Anyways, I took an awful lot of these photos and printed them as a book, and i had a PDF of the book. I didnt think people would want to be inundated with that number of individual photographs so im using the pages from the book to upload them as they were which is why it might seem odd that some of them are combined in that way.

Wow. The sctraches makes good looking patterns.
I know an artist here in Lofoten, Johs RΓΈde, whom work with this kind of things. He takes metal plates off of old ships and work with them to bring out the colours underneath the rust, and then he puts them together till they form a picture, mostly about dangers regarding oil industry outside our beautiful islands. He is also very engaged in the Sellafield case and travels often to Britain to participate in demonstrations and that sort of things

and oh wow! thanks for telling me about him... damn, its a shame i hadnt heard of him before when i was doing my project.... its always a shame when you end a project you've had lots of ideas for
