Description The hummingbird moth prefers forest edges, gardens, and fields for its feeding grounds. They can come in a variety of colors, but common colors include an olive green, reddish-brown, and black pattern.  The center of a hummingbird moth's wings tend to be clear, and they appear to get more opaque, ending in the traditional reddish-brown.

The hummingbird moth is from the family Sphingidae.
