Description I know this initial image may look familiar but for good reason. My parents, mainly my mom, want to get me a tattoo for my 21st birthday and so I pondered long and hard on what I wanted, and it was no suprise that I picked Ali. She is a part of me after all, why not make her more permanant? hehe. The question was just how, how did I want her on my skin? and I just couldn't shake this pic I had already done of her. I always liked this pic and decided to add to it and make it more tattoo friendly. Thus, the addition of the tail and completetion of her ears, as well as the circle and the Japanese characters which spells out Aliehs(at least I hope it does!) This is going proudly on my back, up toward the middle of my shoulder blades. Ouchie! Ouchie! But its all in the name of art!! Pictures of the finished tatt on the skin is promised!!! Look for it around August 27th!

UPDATE!!! I got the tattoo, you can see it here! [link]

Looks good, but the Japanese doesn't spell out "Aliehs". I can recognize the kanji for "small" and one other, but I forget what it means.

Since Aliehs isn't a native Japanese word, the proper way to translate would be to use the phonetic katakana syllaballary (sp?). The closest you could get is "Ariesu" (the Japanese have no "L" sound and the only consonant that comes without a vowel sound after it is "N") with that. It is possible to get your name translated into kanji, but it would only be one or two actual kanji (I count six in your picture up there), and I'm not sure how you'd go about it.

I found a katakana chart here, if you're interested: [link]

After you've decided what you want for a tattoo, wasit four months. then ask yourself if you still want it. XD
