This painting was great lesson in terms of light, transparency and using limited amount of colours, not to mention curtains !. I still look back at this piece and wish I could have improved some stuff, lines for one thing.

I added this image to my fav's because it is so reminiscent of my ballerina at the piano although much much better. I have a preference for back lit figure paintings in that you can work with the light and shadows more intensely.
A lovely, lovely painting, thanks for sharing. You demonstrate a rare talent and have inspired me to pick up the brush once again.

When I think of the memories that come from smelling a flower, it occurs to me that there are 2 contrasting venues where flowers dominate the gathering: weddings and funerals. Β Or is that just 1 venue? Β Β Β Beautiful work here. Β I don't know why you would think you had to improve on it. Β It is perfectly complete as is.
