In my last day, I had a chance to see a traditional wedding ceremony when I was visiting Kanda Shrine. The guests reception took place in the adjacent building and then the bride and groom, family members and close relatives came into the shrine to carry out the ceremony (in Shinto style I guess!). The bride wears a white hood symbolically to cover her "horns", hence showing her obedience to her new husband. It was a very interesting ceremony!
