The first finished shot of my Portal 2 Long Fall Boots.I got the boots off of Amazon, painted and cut them. The black straps are actually painted thin cardboard from snack boxes. The hard part, the heel spring, was made of cardboard and the metal surface was made of pieces of Coke cans I cut up and glued together.

It's just black acrylic

Ohmygod, I think we both did our boots exactly the same way (only I painted the heels of mine black) XD

haha, yeah, I'm still trying to decide whether I want to paint the heels black or not lol. I'll have to check yours out and do comparisons

I did it just so they wouldn't show as much, and also it looked more natural (with the back of the heel being black and all).
I like your way of reinforcing the springs; mine are just craft foam, and one actually broke. Fortunately I'd finished all of my photoshoots...
