Description Basically this is a picture that was created when I pressed part of my face and hair against a flat scanner, I then placed a lamp behind me to get a contrast of shadows and light.

LOL, wow... hey whenever I smush my face against the scanner, it just turns up really dumb lol. That's pretty awesome how you did this. I was so perplexed by how you put it together until I looked at it.

At first also, I wasn't sure if it was a photo or a drawing (which I realized was NEITHER). The colors are really beautiful and subtle.. and the pose is nice too. AHahah, i sitll can't get over the fact of how you made this. Great job.

Hahaha! Yeah, it wasn't that difficult actually! You just put a small amount of pressure on the glass, do some sort of pose, put some lighting behind you, and there ya have it! You should try it, you'd be surprised how these mad ideas can actually turn into art!

hahah. This could be a new movement... first it was photography... then it was digital manipulation (you think this should come last eh)... and then there was directscan portraits. I've gotta try it again

not only because the image is great...

it's wonderfull 'cause the way you made it it's just amazing and very original!

I made some works with a Photocopy Machine, but I have not a Scanner so I can't submit them!
