First in an ongoing series of masks based on the Major Arcana of the Tarot. The Star represents a guiding light during dark times, a destination that marks distant hope and healing.

This intricate mask was wet formed from leather, carved by hand, painted with acrylics, and varnished with Satin varnish. The 'necklace' is made from a strand of brass antique gold chain with a star motif. It is affixed to the face by an elastic band. A Swarovski crystal cabochon adorns the middle of the crown.

The backside of the mask that touches the face has been lined with moleskin in key places for maximum comfort. This mask is signed and dated by the artist.

Because I have only one strand of this particular necklace, this mask is currently one-of-a-kind. Once it's gone, it's gone until I can find a supply source for this chain (or something similar).
