The one on the far left looks like a dalish version of Velanna's outfit.

Thanks, it's good to hear they have the Dragon Age aesthetic. I tend to have a heavy handed style, so it's good to hear that I can adapt. Working on Heroes of Dragon Age, was a bunch of fun.

Thanks! It was a fun exercise of trying to find what worked well with green.

A very good concept, but I always have thgis thought in my mind when I look at elves in DA2 - why do they not wear shoes? I mean - really?

Ha! I agree that it's weird. Doesn't seem a wise decision on their part.

I hope in DA3 BiWare fix that, `cause it`s just strange - it doesn`t give the race it`s character or originality, since some of the elves do wear shoes. So it`s just strange.

The third one from the left is my favourite! It'd not as simple as the second one but, it looks perfectly like she is ready for battle! I love the yellow tones and the contrasting green. I'm a fan of the crown, as it shows that she is the keeper of a Dalish Clan and not just a Dalish Elf. The metal pieces are fantastic and seems quite roughish. Although I'm guessing the keeper is a mage. I think the last one from the left is also beautifully designed, it doesn't seem like your everyday amour but something that would be worn for a special battle, or something worn, when clans fight. Although others have said it is to decorative for combat, I disagree. Once again I think, that it shows that she is the keeper and not just a Dalish hunter. I can't wait for Inquisition, and I'm glad you could work with he Heroes of Dragon Age Team for their content lock. It's a honor.

It sure is an honor, as I'm a big Dragon Age fan. I can't wait till Inquisition as well. Some of the stuff we're seeing coming in from the Edmonton team looks amazing.

Β I also am excited! Bioware likes to keep us fans on our toes about nearly everything in their upcoming games! I can't wait!

Love these! And I can't wait for Inquisition!!
My favourite (counting from the left) is the second one, and my least favourite is the last one (her armor makes it look like she's preparing for a battle, but her head is too decorated for that)

Thanks! Me to! I just worked on the free to play game coming out this November, but I loved the previous games. Well I only liked Dragon Age 2.

ERRMAGOD Damian. The boots on number 1 and 2!
That woven thing is so cool. And I think I like that belt/corset thing as much as you seem to.

Thanks Tim. To be honest I was just following along with design motifs I'd seen in the concept work coming in from Edmonton. So those cool boots were something I was referencing from them.

Same here! It's not over designed or too simply designed. And the color scheme is beautiful. The only thing I don't like about that look is the shoulder pieces. I just think they should be lower & closer to the shoulder. But other than that! BEAUTIFUL WORK!!!Β

Yeah it feels that is often the case with these game designs. You design the one you like, you strip it down for the weaker tier of the character, and in order for the player to read substantive changes, the final tier always feels a bit too much.

I was actually given mutually conflicting advice by several different people, but was able to pull it together at the 11th hour. There were many dogmatic feelings on what a Dragon Age elf should be and look like, but they didn't match up from person to person. Ahhh such is the way coming into the late phase of a project and trying to determine style. Thankfully when I was done everybody was happy.

I figure after appeasing everyone's whims, it's good enough. I like how the face turned out.

The final tier should ALWAYS feel like its too much. The final tier should be overwhelming and intimidating.
That's why/how bosses look bossy.
