Stunning use of DOF to show the consequences of a broken promise. This speaks of rejection, a dejected lonely soul, aimlessly wandering in a world now lacking colour!

This is an excellent piece. I love the way the trees in the background are blurred by the depth in a way that makes them almost seem as though they're dying, which greatly helps the mood of the photograph. I also love how there only seems to be one live flower, which really contrasts in color with everything else, which also brings a lot of attention to it. The guy walking away is connected as a line to the bright flower, which is perfect since that makes him the second thing to look at, which in turn completes the intention of the photograph. But as it has been said before, I wish the bottom would've been cropped. Blur in the front is almost always kinda bad. It doesn't really contribute to the photograph, either. But other than that, like I said, this is excellent! =]
